Awaiting on the Mountain
How alone and confused,
Confident but now strangely
bewildered,
Do they huddle close
together ready to stand,
On a spiritual plateau
located there by HIS guiding hand.
Now each disciple is
forged forever by He, in that joyous fire in the melting Flame of a burnished faith,
Only to be dampened forever
in that final hour of there welcoming death.
Now on that cold mountain
terrain,
Each man knows that he
must go forth. But forever remain.
Firm in a faith. Watered
always by His precious blood.
One day we to will all
stand upon a mountain high,
On that first anniversary
of the day that we will die,
And all family tears,
Will never sluice away
the fears,
Shed by the weeping unsaved.
But contrasted by the
cheering saved,
Who chant in unison:
Born Again,
Saved forever from all
past sin!
"It is appointed unto
men once to die,
but after this the judgment"
(Hebrews 9:27)
